Fordham Park

The area immediately to the west of New Cross station was developed with terraced housing from the 1850s on what had previously been farmland. The housing was demolished in the early 1970s, and Fordham Park (named after the last Mayor of Deptford) was opened in 1975. It was extensively redeveloped in 2010.

Information from an interpretation board on site.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
