Isle of Noss
Noss is a small island of 1.32 miles² (343 ha) off the eastern coast of the Isle of Bressay which itself is off the eastern coast of Mainland, Shetland. Noss was inhabited as recently as 1939, and in 1851 had a population of 20. These days it is run as a sheep farm and Nature Reserve. Its highest point is a quite respectable 594' (181m) on its far eastern coast at Noss Head - famous for its gannetry.
