Enclosures beside the Spouts Burn

Immediately to the east of the Spouts Burn, a low bank forms an irregular four-sided enclosure which is shown on the first-edition OS map (surveyed in 1860), but not on later maps; this is the enclosure "90m to the SW" that is described at LinkExternal link (at Canmore). Its course is still visible on the ground; see LinkExternal link for an annotated satellite view, in which the four corners of the enclosure are indicated by green markers. Also marked on that view is a larger, fainter, and more irregular enclosure on the eastern side of the burn.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
