The Pembroke College Mission

One of several churches founded in the late 19th century "settlement movement", the site on Tatum Street was established by Pembroke College, Cambridge. The buildings, designed by architect Edward S Prior, and completed by Herbert Passmore, incorporate St Christopher's Anglican church as well as a community hall and house. They date from 1891-1908 and were refurbished c.2008. The buildings as a group are listed grade II (List Entry Number 1376551) as being "a rare and nearly intact survival of an Oxbridge mission building".

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
