The ruin of Spouts

As described at LinkExternal link (Canmore), the first-edition OS map (based on surveys in 1860) shows a building called Spouts, which was, even then, listed as a ruin. The building was situated within an enclosure that extends up the slope from the Spouts Burn for a distance of about 140 metres. Only a few scattered stones now mark the site of the building, but the line of the enclosure can still be followed on the ground. See LinkExternal link for an annotated satellite view; the enclosure is indicated by red markers, and the former site of the building by another red marker at the centre of the enclosure.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
