The park has a network of well maintained paths which wind through ornamental shrubs and herbaceous borders. The park also features a café with a raised terrace Link
Dyke Road Park was originally used as allotments and agricultural land after it was bought by the city at the start of World War One. In 1923, it was converted to a park and formally opened in 1924.
