Shops in Crown Walk
Around 25 years ago the Crown public house was damaged in a fire. It never re-opened as a pub.
The property passed to a property company, who bought land behind the then TSB bank and used that, with the former Pub's yard, to build a narrow lane of small shops.
Tenants in these shops have come and gone, although the florists and hairdressers at the Northern end have been there from the start. The northern end forms a small square with a pleasant cafe, and joins onto a similar row of small lockups built behind the Angel Hotel in North Street.TF0920 : Angel Hotel, Bourne
The restored pub frontage, and the entrance to the lane, is the white building on the right (in the middle distance) of TF0920 : West Street, Bourne, Lincs and is shown clearly in TF0920 : Former Crown Inn
