BBC Television Centre

The BBC Television Centre at White City was the headquarters of BBC Television between 1960 and 2013. Officially opened on 29 June 1960, it is one of the most readily recognisable facilities of its type having appeared as the backdrop for many BBC programmes. The building officially closed on 31 March 2013 with BBC News moving out on 18 March 2013, the building remained in active use until the date it closed with many programmes filming in the studios. TVC remained one of the largest such facilities in the world.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
