Double Walled Garden, National Botanic Garden of Wales

The double walled garden, which is an unusual feature of Welsh and English gardens, was derelict when the National Botanic Garden of Wales was established at the end of the 20th century.
Restoration has continued since then with the garden being reopened in 2003 and a tropical house designed by Welsh architect John Belle being opened in 2007.
At around the start of the 19th century this garden of 3 acres supplied the estate with enough fruit and vegetables for 30 people.
