Millburn Gardens

The Mill Burn flows through this landscaped area, which is bounded on one side by the main road, and on the other by the River Leven. Formerly lying waste, the space was laid out, c.1998, to include stands of pine and birch, willow coppice, alder carr, boardwalks, picnic tables, a wet meadow, a wild flower meadow, standing stones, a sensory garden, and, in the north-eastern corner, a story-telling area (St Martin's Primary school is nearby).

Facing it across the main road is a depot; the site of the depot was formerly occupied by the Millburn Works (pyroligneous works), and, at an even earlier period, by a grain mill that was associated with Millburn Farm.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
