New Mathematical Institute, Oxford

The New Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford is in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter. It was designed by Rafael Viñoly with completion in autumn 2013. The central section contains a common room with views to the Radcliffe Observatory, and being low allows views from the Radcliffe Infirmary courtyard to the observatory tower. The building contains various mathematically based features, notably the "crystal" glazed internal roof of light wells, and Penrose paving outside the main entrance.
